Hotel re-levelling in the United Kingdom

Sunken forecourts, pool surrounds and terraces fixed with minimal disturbance to guests.

About hotel re-levelling

What this work involves

Hotels and leisure sites have concrete in places guests walk and wheel luggage: entrance forecourts, pool surrounds, terraces, spa plant areas and service yards. A slab that has dropped there is a trip risk and an eyesore, and it often hints at a drainage or ground problem underneath.

The specialist checks the settlement, looks for the cause and advises on lifting by injection, which uses small holes and is done with little noise or disruption. State the area, how the site is used and when quiet working is needed, and the price is set from those details.

How the job gets done

  1. Quiet hours

The specialist agrees times with the manager so drilling and injection avoid breakfast, check-in and event periods.

  2. Floor tapping

Terraces, pool surrounds and entrance areas are sounded to find the slabs that have dropped.

  3. Low-noise lift

Small injection holes and a quiet pump raise each slab with little dust and no heavy plant on show.

  4. Finish check

Holes are filled to match the finish, and the guest routes are walked to check for any remaining lip.

Guests, noise and finished surfaces

Working in quiet hours

Entrances, pool surrounds and terraces are in daily use. The specialist plans start times and areas around check-in, breakfast and events.

Pool surrounds and terraces

A dipped slab beside a pool can push water towards the building instead of the drain. The levels are measured before the lift and again after.

Keeping finishes intact

Injection holes are small, so decorative paving, tiling and resin finishes are usually left in place. Any made-good areas are described in the findings.

The short answers

Unsure which fix applies? Browse the services

Can the work be done without closing the hotel entrance?

In most cases, yes. The specialist plans the injection in sections so the main entrance or a temporary route stays usable. Where a full closure of a short period is unavoidable, the timing is agreed with the hotel manager in advance.

Will injection damage decorative paving or resin finishes?

Injection holes are small, typically 12 to 16 mm, and are filled and made good after. Decorative and resin-bonded surfaces usually stay in place. The specialist notes any finish that needs special attention in the visit plan.

What causes pool surrounds to sink?

Water from the pool itself, heavy footfall and the weight of plant around the edges all put stress on the slab. Where drainage under the surround fails, fine material washes away and a void forms.

How is noise and dust controlled near guests?

Injection uses compact equipment and produces little dust. The specialist schedules the noisiest drilling in periods agreed with the hotel, such as early morning before breakfast or late evening.
